You may not always associate winter with exfoliation and ask, "do I need to exfoliate my skin in winter?", or "how often should I exfoliate my skin? You might be surprised to know that, yes, you should exfoliate in winter, and that you should exfoliate 2-3 times per week.

In winter months, layers of clothing render your skin more prone to ingrown hair and it can exacerbate dryness and aggravate dry skin conditions. Seems a little surprising when it's damp and cold outside, but the combination of cold, icy winds and moving from the outside environment to centrally heated homes and workplaces does take its toll. Layers of clothing can even trap in dead skin and bacteria that also clogs your pores, and this can result in dry, itchy and flaky skin.

Using an effective, yet gentle body scrub, like Australian Bodycare's body scrub, removes dead cells, de-clogs pores and gives your skin a real deep cleanse, which is vital to remove impurities and leave your skin feeling soft, supple, moisturised and rejuvenated. This sulphate-free vegan-friendly body scrub is formulated with apricot seed extract, pure tea tree oil and allantion that will keep your skin ultra clean whilst also preventing future issues too.

To keep your skin in shape this winter, simply apply to wet skin in circular motions and rinse, before cleansing and following up with moisturiser.
